A Dream Made Real
The Full Story
​​We are James and Katie Winkler, a husband and wife duo who embrace the delightful chaos of raising three energetic sons. Driven by our desire to raise our family on land and enter the world of farming, we took a leap of faith and moved to our current farm and home in 2021. We renovated the home and installed over 2,000 feet of fencing, all while keeping up with two boys under 3 years old—talk about a wild adventure!
​Our farm began with the purchase of various chicken breeds in 2022, and we knew that we were destined for more livestock. In 2023, we welcomed our third son, and that summer we brought home our first Kune Kune piglets (Kahu, Rongo, Tui, and Kiwi). The boys (and us!) loved watching the piglets run through the pasture and grow into healthy boars and gilts. The Kune Kune's medium size, intelligence, grazing abilities, and gentle nature make caring for them an ideal initial livestock experience.
